Russ, I gotta agree with you... Hoser has a library full of stories, tales, and facts that many of us will never be able to match! Write On Dude

If it ain't my own dogs, dang it, it's the rest of the wildlife. Even had a pair of mountain lions checking them out.

Hoser, taught that bear its lesson. :P

On my current winch build, got the spline shaft turned down on the ends and the spline coupler and block all cut for the engagement mechanism of the dog, now I need to get into some of the welding.
Oh yeah and need to fabricate a spool assembly and more welding.

Going real smooth but not sure I will be finishing it in any hurry. I'll savor it. Might be the last winch I build, the faimly legacy of winch building, GONE. Thanks Stopher. :x  :x

Already have all my parts so might as well just build it up, regardless of its legal usefulness.

I was thinking instead of "motorized", how about bicycle powered. Can be done. Need to loose a little weight anyways.
