There are quite a few gold prospectors that are also amatuer radio operators with licenses to operate transmitting radio equipment that amounts to CB operators on steroids. We can legally use up to 1500 watts vrs cb's 5 watts. We can talk to people from all over the world. If you watch this forum, you can learn of the fun we have and we can assist you in getting a license so you can join in the fun.

I have a website at http://golddredgervideo.com/kc0wox/ that is a ham radio site. Last year at field day, Ed liked it so much he studied and got a ham radio license.

I've been talking to the JAW on the phone. He's thinking about coming to Douglas Creek for field day and dredging.

I will be there if it is at all possible...depends on my chemo schedule... I've already been trying to figure how to schedule my next series so that I have a couple of weeks break.
Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
