Hi all,

Was tipped off to the golddredger on the GPAA forum by Leonard. The videos are great, looks like good times. Thought I would join the forum. I prospect in Colorado. I am fairly new to prospecting, but have been fortunate to meet folks out prospecting that have taken the time to give me advice. Noticed my results improved greatly as I picked up techniques. Hope to meet some of you out prospecting.

Welcome!

We usually have a couple of outtings every year. Memorial Day we like to go dredging on the Arkansas River. We have access to 1/2 mile of river about 1 mile upstream from the GPAA claims. The 4th of July we go to Douglas Creek in Wyoming. I have a claim just above the flats and below the GPAA claims. Then on Labor Day we usually go back to the Arkansas River. There are videos on the website that were taken at these locations.

You are welcome to join us on these outtings. Watch this fourm for more details as time gets closer.

I'm also new here to the forums and to Colorado. I started prospecting in NH last summer and would love to get to know the area and the people who prospect it.

I'm near Berthoud. You are fairly close. We'll probably get out some time this summer to my claim in Lefthand Canyon near Boulder. I'll post in the Rocky Mountain forum if and when.

Here's a picture taken in Lefthand Canyon quite a few years ago.

And we did find a little gold. We really didn't work that hard or very long.

Berthoud is pretty close, too bad there is not much gold in larimer county.

You guys ever go for the diamonds up by me? One goal of mine is to find a diamond in the drainage coming down from the state line district.

Supposedly people find diamonds every now and then in the Douglas Creek area, which isn't too far from the stateline district. I remember reading a paper a while back on there being some kimberlite pipes somewhere up there. Thought I found one once about 1/2 mile from the creek but wasn't sure.
