I stopped at Elk Creek and worked a little under the bridge. I only got to bring my pan and classifier, so I did not get much done. There was the perfect amount of water in Elk Creek for a sluice, highbanker, or small dredge, but Clear Creek was raging. I found some good black sands and lead shot, but no gold. I hiked up the waterfall a little ways and brought out some trash from hikers. It is beautiful up there.
