Leonard,

Are you going to do any winter dredging on your claim?

I'm getting a little old for that anymore. When did you want to go? If it's not to cold camping there, I might be convinced to go watch you.

Getting old :o ! I'm a young 65 and have only been drawing social security for 3 years. I'm not sure I could take the chill of the water though, but I do like to ice fish

It sounds like you and could spend a little time on the Arkansas this summer. I'm retired also and we both are relatively close to the claim. When it warms up, we'll get together if you aren't "too busy"

If you can'tmake it for the 4th, keep in touch with me. I'm retired and I own the claim so other dates when I can make it might also work out. I don't put the dredge in unless I have a couple of people to help me get it in and out. Out isn't quite the problem as most of the time it's a simple down river float. I plan on spending this summer in the colorado/wyoming area so other times might work out. I love camping there with my tent trailer.

From what I gathered at the GPOC club meeting Wed night the BLM is still doing the permitting for Point Bar/Woodies area but not up by BV. Ben said he is working diligently to get the club claims okayed and will pretty much have a local there as caretaker of sorts. Sounds to ME like the BLM just doesn't want to have to drive up there every day so you may get away with dredging your claim Leonard, but if they catch ya.................. My feeling is them high and mighty locals along the river are causing some grief with the BLM that we're not hearing about. HH Mark

I don't have a problem. I have a valid 2011 permit. I guess I lucked out when I got a 2 year one last year. If it's not good, I'll be looking for a refund. As an individual claim owner, I have not received any correspondance from them.
