Cache Creek is NOW gated closed

Guys,

Anyone thinking of heading to Cache Creek to prospect, they have gated entrance up on the powerline road before the 1st ditch. it's about a 3 mile walk back into the original parking lot now.
Sign says riparian project with Trout Unlimited and BLM. thinking to myself where in the hell are the trout?

No, not the case. Blm has had a gate there for years. Closed around first snow, opens at Memorial Day. Suposedly " critical elk habitat". I've never even seen elk shit in there, but there you go. Cache Creek is open for business.
