This was almost downtown in Loveland. Mountain Lion attacked a woman and a sheriff deputy. Watch the video and you'll decide it was a little up close and personal.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Me8fsQ3yaMWe drive near that a lot. A few hours earlier we were in that area watching 2 elk herds. Each had about 100 elk. We parked about 50 feet from one herd and watched them about 20 minutes.

Pat:
Just to let you know, we sold the High Hopes claim. It won't be available for casual panning any more.

Leonard,
I read your post about the claim being sold. Hate to see it go, but most of us are way beyond our prospecting years.

My friends and I were about the only one's using it and I can no longer dredge so we decided to let it go to someone who would use it. It was great while I could dredge there. We were about the only one's that had a valid dredging permit there.

More of our "wild" elk. This was about 2 miles from our house. Notice the "Wilds" of Colorado with natures big beasts roaming around. We saw a herd of around 250 about 6 miles from where this was. I couldn't get off the road to take pictures of it.
