Air compressor difference

Postby impfected » Fri Jun 15, 2012 6:40 am

So what's the differences between the compressors used on the hooka systems and the ones you can get at home depot?
Without one of the dredge compressors to look at I can't compare.

Thanks,
Al

compressors for dredges (breathing air) are oilless! some paint sprayers using compressed air have oiless compressors.i have one of these. its a Brown (brand name) compressor. i went through it to make sure it was ok before i used it. it is a diaphram compressor rather than a oiless!ive used it for about 6 years now without any problems.i paid $35. for it then .Dan Miller also gave me another diaphram compressor that was a Sears. i have it setup as a standalone, with a 3.5 HP engine for sniping.if you do this, go through the compressor to make sure theres NOTHING in there loss that will end up in your lungs and by all means sanitize your hose/mask/lines and copressor for ANY downtime to prevent any bacteria from growing inside.BLACK MOLD will hurt you!

I'm all for bargains but here is a thought. There are some ongoing civil lawsuits pending over the use of less expensive air compressors that were used for hookah diving that resulted in medical problems for the user. One resulted in a fatal accident.

I've never wanted to be a lab rat with experimentation on myself so I prefer the oilless units that are appropriate for personal use, if only for peace of mind when I'm underwater tossing cobbles.

  aaaa yes Russ we can always tell a man who has life insureance  as you become immediately expendable. The T-80 is a oil less paint compressor from Thomas industries but I do prefer GAST but much more expensive. Do not be a dead crash test dummy and err on the side a caution--tons a au 2 u 2-John :D
