Tried to get to the Golden Optimist #1 today. The road is still closed due to the flood.

Went to BLM wednesday and filed my affidavit of labor for High Hopes and Golden Optimist #1. I took care of Douglas Creek a couple of months ago with a drive to Cheyene to file that. All thats left is to mail out the paperwork to the county now. I'll do that next week.

Sorry to hear road is a no go GO

Is it a major road or just a access road? Hope they fix it before your summer funtime-John

Did they give you a timeframe for when they might get the road open again?

It's not a major road but there is a lot of traffic. I don't even know where to check on it's status. They'll get it open sooner or later.

the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) or the county highway department is the one to check with.

Every cloud has a silver lining--ifn' the road ain't fixed the bloody stinkn' claim jumpers ain't a gonna get their either. After watching Prospector last night it sure is the thief season in Colorado now-John 8-)
