Got about a dozen local miners in addition to myself leaving for the Umpqua tomorrow and Sunday. Now 71 and still lacking any common sense...but going for the gold remains a strong calling. Also I consider this trip a personal tribute to the fun DEF events of a dozen years ago.
Should note that three local dredgers received their (pricy) OR dredging permits. Others, like myself, will be hi-banking....and just having fun. I'm again using my 2-1/2" Hydro-Force "dry-land dredging" nozzle on the above stream bedrock and the sluice's outflow does not directly go back into the river as my spot where I'm working is a verrrrrry long distance of layflat hose away and above the river.
If in the area stop by 'River's West RV Park' and say "Hi".
Should note that while the abore stream gold is mostly found in unworked bedrock cracks/crevices most say there is much still to be found. More after I get back in a couple of weeks. Leonard, Matt, Bonaro, Grivy, BillBrew, Hoser and all others...we'll hoist one for you. Cheers!
