PLP has been working diligently on 3 or 4 different directions to go on after the Federal Court dismissed the SB 670 lawsuit. We are not giving up by any means but in the last couple of weeks we have noticed some serious problems with posting on the prospecting websites. It appears that the anti mining groups are keeping very close tabs on what is being posted.
For this reason PLP feels a little awkward posting our direction to the follow up on just what we are doing to prepare for future litigation against SB 670. We are hoping that the mining community understands that this is a serious matter and posting our plans in advance is not the best idea in the world.
If we post or not, PLP is torn, if we do post the enviro’s know in advance what we are planning and if we don’t post we lose support from many in the prospecting and mining community because they feel that we have given up or slowed down. In reality we are working very hard and things will be happening very soon. Much of our and your futures rely on being able to fund the lawsuits that we are involved in and the ones we are planning, so please continue your great support.
It is 3:43 PM on Easter Sunday here in San Bernardino, and while writing this we are having a little earthquake. The house is waving back and forth and sideways. (Just enough to cause a little motion sickness.)
What I can tell you is that PLP has a hearing in Alameda County before Judge Roesch tomorrow afternoon April 5th involving the Karuk v. Ca. DFG tax payer lawsuit. We will post the results of that hearing when we have them.
I can also tell you that PLP has filed an appeal on the Karuk etal Injunction (Ca. DFG can not issue dredge permits) put in place by Judge Roesch. The court set a hearing date for April 19th 2010. but the Karuk attorneys have request an extension until the 20th of May. We are not happy with an extension and there is a possibility the court will turn them down but it is unlikely that they would be turned down.
More on the way very soon. Please be patient, we will give you folks the information as soon as we are able too. Thanks for all of your support.
Happy Easter
