Thanks Leonard, Russ. Tide has been up to road level today at high tide and the most concerning thing is it didn't go out for 2 hours, but now has dropped a foot and a half. So it's building up and getting higher on every cycle. Just hoping this thing will get cranked up and start moving toward land instead of meandering. We have moved the camper and boat to high ground, just have the jeep here and plan to park it on a 4 foot high mounded up lot next to the neighbors'. Rain like crazy all day, but no real wind.

Hey guys, I'll just post a copy of an email I just sent so you'll know how it's going:

Mike: ended up with 2 feet of water, good thing we put the jeep on blocks. We had put things up in the utility room we wanted to save if things did get bad a couple days ago. Of course it’s still a complete mess in there and will take a week to straighten out, but no life altering event that a lot are going through. My neighbor has 3 feet of water in the house . . . and, he’s up in Canada. A few houses caught fire when the electrical boxes went underwater. I thought the power co. would pull the plug on the power for safety but they didn’t so have to be super cautious. Some might get flooded again on the next high tide, wind still strong so we’re leaving the jeep up for now. All in all we’re in good shape comparatively and are helping the neighbors as best we can.

Standing in water at 1:30 am Jeep on cross ties and Connie next to it this morning.

Glad you made it through safely. When they said there was a 12 foot tidal surge I was thinking you'd get wet.

Did your dock float away or did it just float up?

Leonard: I was just out there checking that and it is OK. It floated straight up, I was concerned it might have snapped bolts, but it didn't. We've had a chance to go into Paul's house across the street now and it's a big mess. We're going to go down to Home Depot and get some construction fans and help him get a jump on drying out.
