Eldorado Hearing Postponed

For those of you who have made plans to show up in court for hearing in federal court Sacramento on the Eldorado National Forest Travel Mangement Plan, Please change your plans because it has been postponed until April 19, 2010

In case there was anyone that hadn't kept up with this or just wanted to know the status, this case was dismissed on Dec. 14. I just found out myself, no one had posted the information anywhere.
Hopefully the counties have better luck at their appeals.

Having donated a couple hundred dollars to PLP. to fight the Eldorado NF. TMP. I am saddened to see the PLP. lawsuit dismissed.

Much has changed since the PLP. filed the first lawsuit. The Sierra Access Coalition, CORVA (California Off Road Vehicle Association) The Blue ribbon Coalition (To name a just a few user groups) and several California Counties are joining together to file a lawsuit of their own against the USFS.

I'm starting to question the logic of the PLP. carrying on their fight alone with the narrow focus of fighting for unrestricted access for miners when the TMP./OHV. plans effect so many other forest user groups. We're all in this together. Would it make more sense to share resources and join the larger effort?

US Circuit courts of appeal do not decide if an issue is right or wrong. Appeals courts only review decisions of trial courts for errors of law.

I'd very much like to see the PLP's opposition for dismissal. Their dead link is leaving us all hanging.
