Some sort of surveillance sounds like a good idea... I'll have to think about where to put it. Guess I could disable the flash on the trail cams. Maybe I just want a time lapse camera to take a shot every few minutes, then just go look at the "movie" to see what's been going on...

Thanks guys!

the ir ones is what you want. you can bet they know when your not going to be around and are not doing it at night. putting it high up in a tree is good. do every thing you can to hide them. some guys have been making steel boxes to put the cam units in. there high on the theft list.
save a tree, eat a squirrel.

Rocket,

Leonard gave me and wife permission for later in July to go on High Hopes to some sluicing. We may or may not be out there, (money for the trip, and two kids heading off to college is determining our vacation, that and the fires)

If I am out there I will check on things. and give a report as well. I don't go on High Hopes or any claim without permission, Last summer when we were there there was a GPAA member who was there looking around, when he saw me he bugged off. I think the road access from the bridge to buena vista gets a lot of traffic from prospectors, rafters and kayakers. Saw some kayakers camping there last year where Ed parked over Labor Day.

Sorry Russ, you've hit a raw nerve. It's PUBLIC property... Only administered by the feds. Don't let yourself get caught thinking the way that they do.

make sure u have a legal claim before u jerk some one around and end up with a assault charge against you. just hanging paper is not enough nor is doing assesment work. There is one thing no one mentions, A discovery, if it has been mined ur screwed. If there is no discovery then ur screwed. U may have to prove the discovery. Do not listen to these people who do not know what they are talking about. I have been at this most of my life and I do knowq what I am saying. R
