Yep, time to lay low in the woods and on the web!
Hey POP, we miss reading your comments and stories of invention & adventure! I don't type much anymore but I try to get around and read what I can. I still think of how much I have learned reading posts from Viking, Zooka, Hoser, Gene Bunkly, and many, many others in past years. And it was always fun to watch [online] the DEF planning and then photos of the events.

Like most here, I've been into mining 30+ years and there are times, especially lately, I simply don't bother with 'web-presence' as it brings me down.

Great to see a lot of you still around!

Well making my fun even yet, old POP is in the process of trading his 62 Ford Fairlane for a
AEROPLANE,,,,,,,,YEP soon to be scouting prospecting sites from the SKYS.
Going from Texas to FLA for a plane ( J3 Kitten) like a piper cub.But single seater, Google J3 Kitten. My pictures of the plane are to big, will try to make smaller soon.
The old Grumman with 1,800,005 miles is off again,

Wow POP, that is great!
Is the j-3 kitten considered an ultralight being it is a single seater?
Nice looking bird!

Most cool little kite. Reminded me of something I saw many (many) years ago at the Reid-Hillview Airport in San Jose.
Saw a Cub once do a vertical touch'n'go. Yup. Came in over the end of the runway about 15-20 feet up, slowed to a stop in mid air, and slowly lowered to a touchdown, then slowly rose again in a vertical ascent and proceeded on his merry way. Then came around and did it again. I guess just in case someone didn't believe their eyes the first time. :o One of the coolest things I've ever seen.

Looks like this little prize of yours could do the same thing. Definitely looks like FUN.

Oh, and for your original post - Been away for a while and can't say as I've missed the politics of pannin'

madjack.....
Yes it is an Ultra lite under FAA rule 103.
Of many requirements is not to exceed the speed of sound , so you can be heard screaming on the way down.
maybe get some plastic pants...LOL
