Thanks Richard.
After re-reading what I posted I really do sound like a paranoid old fart. I also had my suspicions about the "forest circus" thing though. I mean, there are only a few govmint entities out there who have the power to jerk your chain.

SS,

I like the looks of that hog leg strapped to your leg.

No worries man, I know where you are comin from. I have a select few buddies that I share info with otherwise just try to be friendly and keep a low profile, although that sometimes is difficult.

I know at one time way back, the area above the swimmin hole on Red corral was claimed, that must have been Hoser, no one I know would try and get down that hill, damn near stright down. Great spot for an ole 49 hood.
Just above the swimmin hole, just off that hugh flat faced rock where the river hits the rock and makes a hard left turn, was an ole hard rock mine, cart tracks, plumbing and all. I think its sluffed in now days. Many ole mines along that road that leds up to Tiger Crk dam.

Many ole mines and shafts off Ponderosa just past Daffodil Hill. Most of if not all that area is private now days. Got some neat ole tools outa that area back in the day. Used to be able to drive through and come out on Fiddle Town-Silver Lk rd, sadly no longer.

Have you ever tried that little park outside Sutter Crk on Volcano-Sutter crk rd ? I wanna take my 3 year old grand son there one day, easy access, nice little spot for a picknic, tables and bathroom for the girls. I dont expect much if any, may salt the pan to get him goin with the fever. An up and coming bucket carrier :D

Sam, if you ever feel the need give me a shout. Will be in the area not this weekend but next weekend. I'll keep an eye out for ya, maybe we'll meet up someday. I like your outlook on "my time" , slow down and enjoy your suroundings.

Carry on.....
