This sounds familiar. My wife just got a bill from the IRS for $36.87 after we filed an amended return. They said they could not proceed until they received the money. So we sent in the check. A couple weeks later we get a check from the IRS for......$36.87. No explanation nothing. So they wasted .44 twice plus who evers time was spent creating and undoing this blunder. Got to love it
