John,
Yes, "The Queen" flew up mid May and is direct selling her Gold in Glass pendents nearby 3 days a week.
The bummer for me is that while most of the gear and chow is in camp I won't be able to start mining for 2 days or so.
The setup I used last year was to use the "Mighty 2" Keene Dredge" suction nozzle to gather minus 2" streambed material from left behind bedrock depressions in my very small stream -- and transport that 'stuff' to a large PVC stock feeding trough. Then raked the + 3/4 " rocks out of the tub (it's like an old mortar tub) and then dredge more material into the trough a second time (and rake it again). At that point I would hand shovel that 'stuff' through either a G-1 high banker or slowly run it through an in-stream sluice box.
Now, the complicating factor.
Last spring I became the owner of a Gold Hog high banker. IF I can get enough water from my shallow stream I might be able to directly dredge into the Gold Hog. That being the case "The Party" at your place is on me
I REALLY like the Gold Hog, however, I need to move more material / water to keep it working. GEEZ, it eats a massive bunch of gravel and doesn't seem to loose any Gold. Last summer my tiny Gold recovery was noticeably higher while larger stuff was right up there, too.
You know how the guys have been mentioning how this hurts, and that hurts? Jeez, getting old certainly isn't for the timid when everything hurts!
Sometimes we do what we do only because we love it so much we just can't stop.
Joe
