any body running a 4in keene over and under, how much gap in the sliding plate into the bottom?
it seems like I am loading the top riffles a lot, seems to be catching the gold but top sure does stay loaded up.
let me know your experiences. thanks ,, gold grubber

The hole sizes in the punch plate tells you how much room must remain above the bottom/under riffles. Their must be at least the hole size plus 1/2 the hole size over the top to maintain a decent flow to clean properly. Keep the discharge end of the under OUT of the water as it causes it to backup under and overfill. If too much going under the top loads ups as water starved. John

Almost forgot, the separator plate between the top/bottom is also a great way to adjust the flows on the top/bottom ratio. I too am lousy at posting pics-reducing sizes to post here also. Anyone want to help us old foggies out? I'll email pics and go from there-John

You can tell it's a California dredge. If it was from Colorado the punch plate would be shiny from recent use.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Unless the stainless steel is of surgical grade , it'll have small impurity's and will have some rust! Plus it's NO big deal anyway ,as soon as it runs some material over it it's nice-n-shiney again! Lip I know your just ribbing John
