Mr. John...The ranger told me that It was HANDS AND PANS only on my mining claim in the Tahoe Forest on the North Yuba River. What do you think about that???

John, this is probably because California has banned all forms of mechanical mineral recovery.

Sic sad state of affairs. Not going into legaleze but a hired helper just finished a 2 year court fight over a lousy sluicebox here close by in French Gulch. He won only because it was his claim as it matters much in the land of rights. Pure friggn' insipid insanity but costly to make your point and that seems to be the idea behind this ungodly mess. sic sic sic-John
