Gold Price at DEF 2002

Postby libertydave » Wed Nov 11, 2020 4:25 pm

FYI! The value of an ounce of gold on July 26, 2002 (that was during the Dredge Earth First rally on the Umpqua River in Oregon) was $303.50

Today gold closed at...$1866.17

Perhaps we need more rallies...along with places to hold them.

Hey Joe,

I have a 1969 copy of the California Mining Journal, now ICMJ and inside is an ad for uncirculated $20 double eagles selling for $69 each. As with your $35/oz. gold I I wish I had bought gold when it a lot cheaper. I also wish I'd never sold my 1955 Chevy Belair 2-Door hardtop.

I'm in the same boat as all of you ! I sold my gold to add to my travel money to go dredging with Leonard and the CCC guys each year, Plus I (like many other's) sold many of my car's that I wish now I had kept! I'd like to have some of them back BUT... the memories fit my pocket book better than buying them now..... I sure had some great memories of both those cars and my prospecting / dredging !
