Info for Oroville, WA

Postby JDNehl » Tue May 25, 2010 8:55 am

Been cruising the site for awhile now, don't post much but enjoy the threads. I'm headed to Oroville, WA this weekend for some fun in the sun. Will be boating and fishing with the family, but have heard of the prospecting in the area. Anybody have any info on open places for some sluicing and detecting? Or even pay to play! Just looking to wash a little gravel, not steal any holes. I live in Oak harbor, WA and generally only make it over to the east side to hunt in the fall. Thanks for the help!

we went up to the area around miners flats on the Similkamean River thats NW of Oroville. we had a good time dredgeing there.i dont know if it is a good sluiceing area. good primitive camp spots and it has shade.

The trip went well for fishing and boating, the Similkameen was running full to the banks, almost out, so no digging got done. The upshot is, she's filling up them holes again. I'll be heading over there again later this summer. I'll keep you posted.

You need to have a minimum of 5 posts to be able to sent a PM, it is to stop spammers from sending everyone "Spam" PMs as soon the spammer joins the forum.

You only need 2 more posts, so just make a couple of casual replies to any threads/posts and you will be GOLDEN, a casual reply to this post will make it only one to go!!! :D
