Gold exploration using electricity

While on vacation in a remote western Nevada valley I encountered a blue cable stretched across the back road I was driving on. It looked like it was connected to a large orange "tackle" box sitting on the ground near the shoulder of the road. Looking out over the valley there were several people spaced maybe 200' apart in a line with the blue cable. And probably, more orange tackle boxes that I couldn't see because of the brush.

I stopped and asked one of them what the cable across the road was for and in the brief conversation learned that they were all from Montana and they were doing exploration work for a possible gold mine. He said that when they "fire it off" 20,000 volts passes through the blue cable.

Not wanting to take up much of his time and the obvious fact they seemed a bit nervous encountering me is such a remote location I let it go at that.

Now I can't help but wonder how such a system would detect minerals... How does it work? What is it called? Anybody know?

I wonder if the one Plumas saw needed the four stage tabulator and the tri-therbostatic hemoscator?

i will need to check this out later but it sounds like a very big metal dector. high voltage will change when there is a lot of metal around, there probly looking for the deflection in the feild of the electristy to see if there is a large depost. the electric company can tell if there is a wire over there lines. this happend at a trunking company neer ware i worked one guy tossed his mic over the wires. it made a change it the way the power flowed in the lines.

Same as detectors utilize conductivity also. Throw in sidescan sonar with colormetric analysis. Last thing I saw that was new was outa the University in San Luis Obispo utilizing radioactive beta ray backskatter technology(now used to accomplish full body scans in aiports,I see your goodies now) and the million dollar plus experiments run on my claims showed the same exact contact zones I had already found with my $1.00 dowsing rods-what a hoot-pissed off the students when they opened the envelope I gave them when they had just started the experiment- John

$1.00 dowsing rods lol now that is funny. i do know dowsing rods work. i did it in gatesville in. i have a 2 inch dreage so i could not go deap, one of the guys i know has a 4 inch they hit some good gold ware i said they would. it was deaper than i could go in a day but they got a few pickers. pickers are hard to come by in that area. its dreaged more than any in the state.

yep but it usually starts a argument so we just dont go there! ill be showing Hoser my device when he comes to Douglas Creek. he asked about it awhile back and he never got my answer to him. now ill have him as a captive audiance! or maybe itll be the otherway around???
