The CCC met at a local stste park friday to have a retirement party for me. Here's a few pictures of the event.
First, thats Melanie, Ed's better half and my oldest son, Steve, admiring the string of illuminated flamingo's at camp. Ed really knows how to put on a good camp. It must be part of his rocket engineer training.
Here's a couple of pictures of part of the perticipants. Steve, Ed, Corky, and myself.
More of the same but with Rick, Dr. Sluice added in. Dave made it saturday but didn't wear his kilt so I didn't take a picture of him.
I had brought along some dredge concentrates to process. We screened them down to -20 and -50 and thats when Ed discovered that he had left the pump for his blue bowl home. That was a good excuse to stop the golding and just smoke cigars and drink.
Soon, it was time to eat. Ed did the cooking honors.
To go along with al of that work, Ed needed a drink or 4.
Once we had eaten, all there was left was smoking cigars, drinking, and exchanging a lot of lies around the campfire. No one ended up injured and everyone had a good time! It was a great way to end a career of working.
