At the Denver Fire Department Tuesday the baton of power was passed. At least at the communications end of it. Top of the chain is the Superintendent of Fire Alarm.
In this picture left to right:
Don Morton, my boss when I was working. When he retired, about 12 years ago, the power was passed to me. When I retired, 4 years ago, it went to Don Smith, the one with the white shirt. Standing next to him to the right in the blue shirt is the one replacing him as he retired Tuesday as the new Superintendent of Fire Alarm, Mike Stutz. Far right is the new Assistant Superintendent of Fire Alarm, Todd Bruin and the future Superintendent of Fire Alarm when Mike retires. That will be a while..
