Another type of mining ?

Postby Ornery Cuss » Tue May 10, 2016 4:30 pm

I know there is a wealth of knowledge out there that maybe we can help each other.
About once a month I receive a call from lowlifes that claim to be 1- IRS agents or 2- Dept of the Treasury agents, claiming to be starting legal action against me for reasons unknown and they wont tell you.
I know they are mining people that don't know any better.
I also know that no government agency will ever call to initiate something of this nature.
What can I do to stop these parasites ? Not just calling me, but people that are uninformed.
One call the number was out of Washington state, the last one was out of Texas.
Who would one report this to ?
I don't think local law enforcement would be interested in hearing this story, and don't want to waste their time.
I cant be the only one getting these calls.
These people piss me off.
It isn't the IRS calling you! I have had the same problem with supposedly people from my computer manufactor saying there is a virus in my computer and they need to get into my computer to repair it. They are used to me telling them to "go F**k off! they finnaly stopped calling.

OC are you on the "do not call " list for your state? I am and it didn't help much ! I write down these #s and hit the "remove me from your calling list" for the recorded calls and if its a real person I inform them that im on the DO NOT CALL LIST and please remove me from your calling list IF they stay on the phone and don't hang up on you. anyway , if/when they do call back I write down their number (made up)and the time they called and all of that and send that list to my states Attorney General for them to go after. after doing this many years and always getting basically the same answer for my Attorney General "We cant track this number any further" and cuseing don't help BUT it does give me some relief! Try laughing at them while on the phone! Thatll pzz them off and maybe they wont call any more

Russ,
The words below "these people piss me off" in my original post I didn't post ? Not sure where that came from

Nope, not on any do not call list, don't believe they help, if anything they help the callers.
The phone here at the house is never answered other than the machine, we screen ALL calls. I get a lot of satisfaction hearing callers hang up
Friends and family know to talk to the machine while I pull my carcus off the couch and pick up the phone
I feel for the people that fall for this crap and want to help stop these parasites, (thinking of my elderly mother in law types that may think they are in trouble and fall for the BS)
I had one today but deleted it before I got the number damit, when they do call it's a recording never a real person and when called back they seem to be E India types
I don't believe for a minuet "they" cant trace any number any further, BS, they just don't want to do the work
Wish I knew more about hacking, I'd be hacking my a$$ off on these people
Just wishing there would be someone to call to send a death ray down and smoke em but it appears no one cares if they are ripping people off
Maybe a stealth bomber

Yep as far as Im concerned the state / federal do not call list is a failure . I just mailed my Attorney general a package of the BS phone calls and a short but sweet letter of my thoughts to their "attempts" to stop this along with a news paper article of their promise to stop this ...............
