I guess I'm lucky as I can't think of anyone that bit the big one serving. Not even from when I was in the Air Force during Viet Nam.

Knew there must be something good about having a crappy memory.

Here's one to those that weren't as lucky as I.

Got my roses to cut and folks to remember-God bless ALL vets from any war and respect to those in uniform still. Amazing year for weather Russ we went from 50 to 100 in days after torrential rains. Hope you and yours are high and dry this time around.-John

One is too many! ive known some that have fallen directly and some that passed from what they experienced during the war . My namesake Uncle died from radiation poisining from the tests at Bikini Atoll! He was one of many that volentered to see what happens when the bomb was dropped.he made my Aunt OR anyone , swear NOT to ask for ANY benefits because of it! My Uncle said ,' there were to many good me / women that suffered and died from this war and weren't rewarded in any way! SALUTE to all that have served and whom are currently still serveing !

Hi GO:

My fathers brother Pete, was killed in combat in Europe during the WWII action. My dad was lucky, he only got mental scars to carry with him for the rest of his life.

War is hell and should be the last possible way to solve disputes, but Politicians today don't see it that way. Of course their kids are not the ones seeing action.
