Took a few pictures yesterday. These were about 3 miles from the house.

The elk have moved down the mountain into the farm land some. They allowed hunting this year on open space to thin the herd but it looks like it just moved them down early.

Saw 2 bald eagles also.

Why is it that you can't find the elk during hunting season but then they come out an mock you after it's over. DUH

The elk in our area are almost like pets. They aren't hunted as it's almost all private land so they really aren't very afraid of people. These pictures were taken from about 500 yards away and I was sitting in my truck. Both pictures were taking from the same parking spot.

The Blue Heron's are back from where ever they go in the winter. These are the first we've seen.

We saw 30 deer also and our flock of wild turkeys. We hadn't seen them for quite a while.
