Been holding a gold panning event for the past 5 years at the local prospectors days event,
this event is sponsored by the local Chamber of Commerce, was running low on Gold for the
event this year, got Kinross mining company to kick in some cash to buy more gold for the event.
Held a gold panning mining event at the local State park sponsored by Echo Bay Mines one year.
Held a panning class at a local 4-H event with kids from all across the United States & held a free
drawing for vials of gold. Have had a invite from the local school to do something. Have held panning classes
on the river for kids. Have invited friends , relatives, enforcement officers & elected officials to come operate
my dredge for the day & keep the gold they find. Also explain to anyone who will listen on what we do, and the
benifits to the community & the enviroment.
If we don't do it nobody else will, I do get discourage when I see the out right lies told by some public officials.
I have in the past and have alsodasked this year ask the GPAA & the ICMJ to give me magazines to hand out free.
Big rallies are find but events held locally I think do more good if they are geared towards the kids.

Thanks , don't have a local club here, just the desire to see the next generation get
educated on the great outdoors & the natural resources we have for the taking.
