Tornados then snow

Say what the LL is going on!!!! Folks east sure gettn' nailed to the cross. Saw photos/videos of folks who rebuilt homes from last round of tornados 11 months ago and GONE AGAIN I got a great idea-get the LL outta there and start somewhere else a new. What a gut wrenching mess we're in weather wise,drought,floods,famines,pestulance,disease--anyone seen the 7 horsemen fly by??????????????????????????????? John

last years weather was bad enough! i hear that this years will be the same or worse! that and the fuel prices will definatly slow me down!

you would think we would learn. i tried getting some land and building a house that was under ground. the county said no way its to risky. a few years later guess what happen a rich farmer built a house very close to what i wanted. its a true tornado proof house. i had 3 exits one doubled as a vent in the middle of the house so no fumes would build up. all electric heating so it would be safe from co2. the only thing that would produce any gasses would of been the stove and the kitchen would of been the only part out of the ground. i was going to use reinforced concrete for the part under ground twice as thick as most basements. it would take a tornado and keep on ticking. one of the big problems i had was state and county codes. i was going to be the first one to do it around here so they bulked. state codes are the minimum you can get away with. if you do better than there codes they get skittish, lol.


if any one lives in a area ware hurricanes are, you would think they would build houses that would stand up to hurricanes. insted we keep building the same old houses the same way as always to look like it did be for the hurcane.

in hatie they keep getting hit, same with our coast. were still rebuilding the same old stuff in both places that gets damaged easy.

same with along the Mississippi/Misouri Rivers. it floods and the gubermint keeps paying them to rebuild there. you would think that the gubermint would require them to maintain insurance ALL year long tobe eligable for $$$ they get from them. or buy their own flood insurance from a private company or get out of the flood plain! why does our gubermint need tobe in the insurance business anyway?

i am not sure why all of that happens. here in Indiana, the state bought out a hole town then turned it in to a state park. it was cheaper and easer to do. but its a privet state park no one allowed in to it. its being turned in to a flood control area since its in the flood plan.
