SOAP BOX

Postby getterdone » Thu May 14, 2015 10:14 pm

Sorry couldn't help my self but, during the Prospectors days here they hold a Soap Box Derby races.
I just finished repairing 2 of the Stock Soap boxes that the local Church let kids use that don't have a
Soap Box. Here is a picture of one of them.

I built a Soap Box 14 Years ago, the wife started out as the driver, then the grand kids ran it
for a while, then had a few of the kids that didn't have a car drive it. Last year was the only
year it didn't come in 1st place.

Keeping old traditions alive is very important to our new techie generation. They need to learn there is more to life than texting, tweeting, ipads, pods and associated junk gaming all the day long.Kudos for sure-John

Well the 8 year old kid that drove the first posted soap box came in second place
and the kid I had drive my Red soap Box came in first place. That soap box has only
lost once in the last 13 years. We only had one other soap box running against it this year
and that soap box was sponsored by the E Clampus Vitus group out of Seattle. Would expect
next year that the E Clampus Vitus group might have a better Soap Box next year as they have
offered to take on the project of running the soap box derby next year.
