I just returned from more than a week of rescuing folk trapped by high water. Most are too young to remember the flooding brought by hurricane Carla, the last one that inundated Houston. They were told to hunker down and stay put. Most did. Alas, by the time that they realized that it was time to leave, there was no easy way out except to walk (or swim). And there are at least twice as many folks down there as when Carla came thru. Its spread out and has houses in lotsa places that there should be none. You would be totally amazed at the number of good folks that have showed up to lend a helping hand.
Anybody wanna buy a good used truck...only submerged once. Gonna be a bunch of them on the market in just a few weeks.
