i went to the hardware store today. bought what i though was going to be a good tool made in the usa. got home the caulking gun did not last one tube of caulk. it was a stanley tool, made in china. i ended up going back and buying the one i did not pick becouse in big letters stamped on the side was made in china. i hate to say it but the best one out of the lot was the 98 cent more one that did not hide the fact it was china made. better quilty metal and heaver construction than the ones made by us companys made in every other contry on the planet.

We naturally shop for the best price, then quality. American products are superior to anything else. Cost is another matter. We can get things from over seas cheaper, even with the cost of transport. Transporting products in this country is as far as 3000 miles at most. Products in this country have to be priced more competitive in order to succeed. When that happens China and other countries can keep more of there own crud.

thats the problem. a USA company had there product made in china. its total crud. the one that is marked better brazen on the side made in china, is way better.

it mite be that we need to stop buying cheep crud. when company's offer it up, complain, and leave it on the shelf.

my grandpaw was not heavy on unions. heck my grandma worked at rca and would not buy a tv from there. she said its all parts from over seas now. in fact the plant she retiered from is now in mexico. rca moved the hole factroy there. after they did something strange. put robots in to build the boards from scratch. like they did when she first started working there.

they both had this ideal. buy tools as you need them to work on a project. try to get them on sell, and always buy tools made here in the states even if they cost a bit more. if you can buy it made here get it. look at the lables.
