Weed on Fire

Postby Hoser John » Tue Sep 16, 2014 5:23 am

Not the herb but the town NE of Shasta City, about 90 miles north of Redding. The only big employer in town went up in flames, the Sireea pacific lumber mill. This summer of flaming hell is really wiping many structures and the poor dry forests, as of 6pm last night over 75 homes also. Call anyone you know there. take care ya all and be fire safe-John

The greenies will be happy the mill burned down. It may not be rebuilt. All those jobs will just go away.

Weed is one of the windiest places in northern kalif and it went from 0 at 1:30 to hell on earth by 5:30 with a 100+ homes/apts/biz burned. Still raging on. My bud Rich in Mt. Shasta has a custom woord venier mill and now no more cedar logs from the mill as told yesterday. The ramifications, like Happy Camp too, will be felt for years. No biz ,no tourists,no miners,no economy and kaput. O wait a second that sue happy Karuk tribe is building a casino so all will be just hunkey dorey as what's left of the economy gets drunk and loses their life savings   John

Hauled 22 truck loads of disaster relief supplies from Mt. Shasta to Weed in the past 3 days. Thank god I don't have to load as unloading happens in a few minutes as akin to locust at work POOF AND GONE. They disappear like water on fire. Soooo many devastated. Fastest moving fire and you couldn't ride a bicycle fast enough to escape it.....amazing mess just amazing.....John
