How it feels for the California dredgers that are forced to stop dredging or anything else ! Since my back and knees aren't up to speed I had to stop dredging or all most anything else that involves much effort ! And that sucks without a doubt ! I keep having thoughts of a bigger dredge or something but in reality it would just be something else that I'll have trouble doing ! and that sucks also! So for now I think about what else I can do that would give me as much pleasure that dredging with Leonard and the C.C.C. guys !

Been there, done that. You are starting to get where I was. The mind was still willing but the body said no. It really hurt to wave goodbye as you and my dredge drove off. I have an alternate hobby though. Ham radio. I can do that sitting down and doesn't require much physical activity. 4 of us hams get together for breakfast every Saturday and also for some technical work every other Saturday afternoon

Wildlife photography with the wife also fills in some of the time..

Do miss the camping though. Maybe next year for a couple of days.

YUP it is a hard thing to give up! I also had sellers remorse after selling my equipment. I'm still wishing I could do some of it BUT......................
