Here's something we can all agree on.

1. The vaccine should be tested on politicians first.
2. If they survive, the vaccine is safe.
3. If they don't, the country is safe.

lol

My mom and dad are getting there 1st dose this week. I worry about an 88 yr old with allergic reactions getting best guess untested vaccines.

My wife and I discussed this. We decided that not getting vaccinated left us far more likely to have problems than taking a chance on the vaccine. Especially considering the new strain is supposed to be far more virulent than the old strain. We are in an area that is pretty likely to eventually be exposed. We are supposed to be on the list to get vaccinated fairly soon. In the mean time we drastically limit any exposure to what is absolutely necessary. I haven't had a hair cut since January 2020. My beard is catching up with Russ's. I can even put my hair in a Willy Nelson ponytail.

more than anything, mom wants to see her grand and great grand kids.

My son got it before the end of the year, he was unemployed at the time, and spent a week in bed.

We've been able to work from home and keep distanced at work enough to avoid.
It will be good to get back to some sense of normalcy.
