Fire?

We had a lot of smoke from Eastern Washington fires last month - but everyone around here has been really careful since those Northern Idaho fires came so close last fall. It got to the point that the fire line was making 1/4 and 1/2 mile jumps, the flying embers hopping roads and fields using the wind. Came within 1/2 mile or so from our place and we're all dense evergreens here. - Joe -

We've been pretty busy with it - not for our own place but we have relatives in New Orleans and friends in Biloxi. The ones in Biloxi are fine - still waiting on what the situation is in New Orleans.

At least we're no longer eyeball to eyeball with an incoming storm. As you know, the distance to the water at the old place was about 30 feet.

Hope you two are doing well.

My cousin is in Lake Charles . La. and we haven't heard from him .

Russ - the phone grid took quite a hit over there. They had consolidated much of it under one roof . . . I don't expect to hear much until they get the portable towers up and that could be into the end of next week.

Matt , No doubt about it ! I'm saying a prayer for all affected from these storms - fires - virus - and so called "representatives" of ours that keep getting voted into office!!! We just can't get a break !
