New claims

Please correct me if I'm wrong. An individual can file a 20 acre claim and an association claim consists of up to 8 owners and can claim up to 20 acres each for a total of 160 acres. Can a club file an association claim, or, as a single entity, is it limited to only 20 acres? If the club is limited to 20, can some members file an association claim and quick deed it to the club? Are the costs/paperwork the same?

Yes yes yes yes yes. As board members we claimed the 160 and quit claimed to the club as anyone(or entity) can own a preowned 160 acre placer(hardrock too) claim without the 8 folks. BUT the BLM/FS can,have and will change things up with amazing frequency so what was/is the rule a thumb now,can be bs tommorrow-John
