Researching an old mine

Postby urbanminer » Tue Aug 01, 2017 8:25 am

I'm trying to find the history of an old mine. It has a common claim name, but I don't know the districts name. How do I find it, and others for future research? I'm still new to this research game.

County Recorders Office would be my go to or BLM LR2000. County library, state geo reports provide amazing info. Local historical societies also are a huge assist with this info-John

Thanks guys! Great info and will use them in the future. Found the districts name purely by accident looking on westernmininghistory.com. They don't always have the best info, but sometimes they have some.
