You might also check diver's weight belt weights molds at a dive shop, diver's supply or maybe ebay. I know we use to use them long ago, melting down tire weights.

Use a broom stick to impress some half round furrows in damp sand then pour your lead directly in that. When it cools score it with an axe and snap it at the deisred length...doesn't get any lower tech than that.

Or tear a beer cans in half and pour 1" deep ingots inthe bottoms then peel away the rest of the can. Bet sure the can is dry!
