you can make some from aluminum, but if you want to buy some new try D&K last I looked they had a great deal on some floats for a 5"

I also have an Idea about making some from 5 gallon buckets and using Gamma lids! but this will only work with a 4" or smaller unit, what size are you trying to build?

like yellowfever said, but if cost is a problem, the 5 gallon square cooking oil containers would work fine.you would just have to wash them in hot soapy water to remove all oil traces. be carefull when buying used pontoons. look them over before buying.

EZ to do-go to local dry cleaner or plating shops and buy empty 25 gallon barrels to float on,used them for many many years, drag on rocks for miles and purt near bulletproof and for a couple a bucks each, righteous low profile floatation-John 8-)

This place has the 15 gallon drums. I used 6 for my 4in. It's a bit of a trip ,but at $13 not a bad price. Six x 15gal=750lbs floatation. I stood on top on my dredge in the middle of the river to refill the gas with no problem. I'm 175lbs.

Russ is right! Probably once in many tries. Thats about 5 miles from me. I might be interested in delivering for a little gas money and a few days hanging around at your place. The wife would be glad to get rid of me. I got home through New Mexico from Arizona just in time. The weather here sucks and looks like it will be this way for a while. We had about -10 degrees here this morning.
I hope this is heading east to Russ's place.
