WTB: 4" crashbox dredge sluice

Postby MadJack » Tue May 06, 2014 7:09 am

Since we are traveling the west, I figured I'd see if anyone has an old-school 4" sluice kickin around.
Doesn't have to be perfect or have carpet. wanting to work on a gravity dredge for Maine.

Thanks.

Jack I haven't seen one of those in years! why not make one for yourself out of ABS plastic. EZ to form up and bend cold, except that youll need to apply ABS adhesive to the bended joint because of some minor cracking at the very edge. the adhesive will resolve that issue and if you apply masking tape to contain the adhesive smear, itll blend right in and be very sturdy! ive made several ABS sluices in the past from 5 inch to my current build of 2 inch to test some Gold Hog matting. ABS plastic =1/2 the cost and weight of aluminum ,and that cant be all bad!
