under water metal dector

Postby barney-mi » Thu Nov 03, 2016 10:19 pm

Don't have any idea how much a used one would be,I lost my class ring many years ago and was thinking about inquiring about a detector n see if I can find it,maybe someone has already found it but it would be fun to look for it. It would be in about 3ft. of water in a lake here in Mich. don't want to spend an arm & a leg for one. any input would be greatly apreached. Barney-mi :)

Barney any MD should work fine for that as long as you don't get the control box wet. OR why not ask some metal detecting club if they could find it.

If Matt Matson passes through I'm sure he'd have an answer.

The coil is supposed to be waterproof - but nothing else is so be careful. It would be a shame to lose such a great detector, if you can get your hands on a loaner underwater unit, that would really be the way to go.
