i remeber back in 1970 when i was in Germany, when it snowed it froze at night and we would walk on top of atleast 12/18 inchs of it most of the winter.and never broke through untill spring.

For most of Colorado there is no permits or season. The Arkansas River Headwaters is about the only place. We ended up with more river access on ours or friends claims than the GPAA has there. We can dredge, they can't.

That's good to hear. I saw your vid of dredging in the snow. I was with GPAA for a couple years 'til I figured out how bad they rip folk off. Learned a heck of alot more going solo, plus got all mt own gold! :) :) :) :)

Hi GO:

Well right about now would probably be a great time to dredge on the ARK, if they would let you, slow water flow, nice and clear and NO DAMN Kayaks or Rafts running into your dredge. :D

last year the river was up for Sept. and the rafters /kayaks were plenty! none of them caused any problems and were fairly friendly! a lot of them parked on Leonards claim for a pullout place, but no problems came up. but then again most of our "stuff" was put away because of al the people moving around. another spot they pulled out was where i left my dredge, and i had a pile of "things" left there up hi from the water. nothing was messed with. it was a good time by all!
