You bet! That joker that sells claims on E bay is noted for over filing on folk if their even a tad late! Our club almost lost a few of our claims, but another club were the ones that over filed and knew it was ours. We made an agreement and got them back. Nice guys, and good people.

Guess who got a certified letter from Cali BLM today. Yup, ME!!

Two months after they sent me a stamped copy of my paperwork, and after they deposited my check, they've decided to void all of my claims because I didn't file on time. I'm pissed!!

Anybody know what I should do next?

File a Appeal, not a real big deal as the BLM totally screws up all the time. Always send all notifications using the notification of mailing, costs $1.50 and absolutely proves you had sent in WITH DUE DILAGENCE and the BLM is outta there!!! bummer never the less---tons a au 2 u 2 -John

Keep on top of it!

I got notice that all 8 of my claims were cancelled because of not filing my Proof of Labor.

Good thing I had proof of mailing AND my copy back from them with the "received" date stamp.

Seems they sent me my copy back but forgot to enter it into their system!!

Not surprised when I think about it now, but, I was sure flipping through my files frantically until I found the "proof". :D

They were nice enough, but matter of fact and resolute...the only way to get my claims back now is to start from scratch and re-claim them at $189 per pop X 10.

I'm planning to consolidate 8 of them into one 160 acre claim. Then combine the last two into 40 acres. That'll cut down on expenses.

Still...that's nearly $400 + more paperwork. They said I could appeal, but with the years of experience they've had with such matters, it would be a lost cause; "open and shut" was the term they used.

I pulled out my headache in a bottle ta-kill-ya to celebrate my misfortune. Tomorrow when I'm sober, I'll start the paperwork.
