Wind farms in Pacific Northwest paid to not produce

Wind farms in the Pacific Northwest -- built with government subsidies and maintained with tax credits for every megawatt produced -- are now getting paid to shut down as the federal agency charged with managing the region's electricity grid says there's an oversupply of renewable power at certain times of the year.

Driving east on 80 to get to DC WY was a real eyeopener on this subject. 1,000's of massive windmills sat idle as others spun. Would make sense to kill the insane pipeline, build the processing plant close to the canadian border and utilize infrastructure already in place-windmills--and cut the freebie giveaways and use them ...but...almost forgot.... that would make sense and NOT entitlement politics--sorry---back to the regularly scheduled insane giveaway for doin' nuttn- :? the deal with the pipe line is, canada wants to sell it on the world market. you can not do that with our building a pipe line. eeaser to come south than go over the mountans. well it cost less. take in acount there are less earth quakes in the mid west it will cost less to maintain.

And a processing plant with excess capacity already exists on the gulf coast. The pipe will get built, we just gotta go around some stuff in Nebraska that the people there (or maybe just some of the people) are nervous about. Obama will support the revised route, the first version just got used as a political bludgeon to embarrass him.

well the last pipeline was built with pipe made from china and it hasnt been holding! why repeat it with more inferior pipe made from china and risk contaminating that major auqafir for the midwest! when all they need todo is go east or west of that location or build a refinery up there, and use good ole American made pipe!!!it seems some politicians, socalled "representatives" of ours for get whos filling their pockets with $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!
