Fairplay Colorado Gold

I've never been there, but there must be some gold left. I cannot imagine all the hoops that are required to open a new commerical-scale placer gold mine in the US.

this has been going on for sometime now! some years back,i sent the BLM comments towards getting this project up-n-running to support this mining effort.it is a slow proccess but it looks like it may work out after all!i wish them all the luck in the world! theres so many people out of work in the United States and heres a man that is trying and going tobe paying taxs and hireing people, and the town and gubermint has to hassel him, atleast untill they start filling their own pockets with cash!

Russ,

Some of those parcels on Hwy 24 between Wilkerson Pass and Hartsel are going cheap.
We got a 5 acre room with a view for 12k, but down on the flats closer to the highway i've seen them for 5.

My wife's aunt's husband bought a tax lien and when the taxes went unpaid for 3 years he got the title. Tax sales are pretty inexpensive.. either way you aren't out anything. If they redeem you get 14% interest, if they go unredeemed you get the land. I think her uncle Gordon had to pay about 500 for legal title.
