New roof!

We just went through 3 days of having a new roof put on the house, barn, small shed, and a dog house. Also a 56' x 12' polycarbonate patio cover replaced. They were all about 37 years old. What a change in the look of the place. Thankfully that will be the last time we have to do that. It should outlast us. It was a real pleasure watching a team of 4 do the job. It was very professionally done and what appears to me to be very high quality.

No, it wasn't courtesy of Obama or the insurance company or credit card company. It was thanks to my labor over a lot of years and budgeting and saving for it. You know, the good old fashioned way! Cash!

Be it ever so humble.....there is NO place like home. Making plenty of repairs trying to keep from going nutzo in this ungodly smoke here. Couple a hours a day is about all I can take,reminds me of my stupid years when I smoked.......wow dumb de dumb de dumb---John

Thanx much Russau but heading west to the coast a few times this summer and hopefully,if the wind cooperates the ungodly fires will be put out. Dryer than I've ever seen in kalif in my 60+ years......spooky strange as better be a GREAT winter..or else...John
