GPAA what a laugh

Postby DJR » Tue Sep 11, 2012 6:22 pm

Today I received my prospecting card 9/11/12 I unfortunantely made the mistake of getting a lifetime membership  a few years back. I have never come across such incompetance, every year it gets later and later. What a clown outfit.

At the risk of starting an arguement, I disagree. I think the GPAA membership and the local GPAA meetings are a great way to start! If you are experienced, you may not need them but for the beginner I think they are great! Dave and I are planning on hitting the Alantic City, South Pass GPAA claims next year. We may not find much but they are a safe place to go and we'll meet other prospectors. Thia is even after we own/have access to some of the best claims in Colorado and Wyoming.

You guys are more experienced and probably have your own network of places to go. Just remember when you were beginners what you went through to get started.

Even though we have had several years of good Alaska experience, Dave and I have talked about going on the GPAA Alaska trip for a couple of weeks.

I saw it and took it the way it was intended. I wouldn't have posted my reply if I thought it would cause any problems.

I do believe that the GPAA is great for beginners. I have a membership I haven't used but someday I may. I also have a membership in http://coloradoprospector.com that I haven't used but Dan and Denise, the owners, sponsered the DEF rally in 2004 and worked their butt off doing it. I think that if it wasn't for the GPAA and their tv programs and gold shows, we'd all be doing something other than prospecting. It takes numbers to keep our rights and they bring in the numbers.

Leonard, I'm well versed in DJR :)
I knew his intent, and I don't drink coffee or booze anymore for that matter...
so, I'm a lot safer at the keyboard than I used to be!!!
