NEW YEARS CONTEST

Postby Tanqd » Wed Dec 19, 2012 12:39 am

So since getting hooked on small scale mining, I've been blessed in ways I never would've imagined since buying my first sluice.

I've traveled the Northwest and had the privilege of visiting Alaska, and even drove across Canada with some terrific forum members.

All in search of the new friends and the yellow stuff.

Even though the original goal was to get a little color, the true treasure for me has been the many amazing people I've met, mostly because of this forum.

One thing I really used to enjoy as a newcomer was the occasional "guess the weight contest".

The attached photo contains the only chunkies to come near my sluice in the last two years.

In honor of Leonard and all the contributors to this forum I'm offering the chunker to the right of the penny as a prize for the person that guesses the total number of grains of all those pieces combined. Only even grain guesses. Weight has already been determined using pictured scale. We can only have one winner, so no duplicate guesses. First one to get it will be the winner. Contest ends when 2012 ends.

Happy guessing and thank you again for an outstanding forum!
